Data controller

Visits to the website

For security and statistics, for every page viewed the website records: date and time, page, IP address and the country derived from it, type of device (phone, tablet, computer) and the website you came from (for example a search engine).

• The IP address is deleted automatically after 90 days; the rest, by then anonymous, after 13 months.
• The country is worked out on our own server (database IP Geolocation by DB-IP, licence CC BY 4.0): your address is not sent to any external service.
• Only the website owner sees this data, and it is never passed on to anyone.
• The website also counts how many times a video starts or a photo is opened: only the number, per day, with no data about who is watching.
• "Online now" dot: while a page is open, every 45 seconds the website notes a random code created and kept in your browser (encrypted on the server; not the IP address, no cookie) to show whether other people are browsing at the same time; it is deleted from the server after 2 minutes of silence.

Cookies

The website uses no profiling cookies and no third-party statistics (no Google Analytics, no advertising). It only uses a technical session cookie when you enter the MIDI Files area, needed to stay logged in; it is deleted when you close the browser. Contrast and theme preferences stay only in your browser.

The website as an app

If you install the website on your phone (“Add to Home screen”), some pages and images are saved on your device so they open faster, or even without a connection. They stay only there and are deleted when you remove the app or the site data from the browser.

MIDI Files area

If you request access, the website keeps the first name, surname and email you give, and an encrypted fingerprint of the password you choose (the real password cannot be read by anyone). Requests never confirmed are deleted automatically after 7 days. You can ask for your access to be deleted at any time at the address given above.

Guestbook

If you sign the guestbook, the name, city and message you write are published after approval. Together with the message the website also records, visible only to the website owner, the IP address and the country derived from it, the type of device and browser, and the website you came from: they help to recognise abuse. The IP address is deleted automatically after 90 days. You can ask for your message to be removed at any time at the address given above.

Write to me

If you write from the «Write to me» page, your name, email and message reach the website owner by email and are kept in the private control room so they don't get lost; they are never published. The IP address, country and device type are kept with them to recognise abuse; the IP address is deleted automatically after 90 days. You can ask for your message to be deleted at any time.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to the address given above. You can also contact the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
